SWC will have its annual Christmas meeting on Saturday, December 13, in the Broadmoor Library Community Room, 11:00 to 1:00. Members should bring a guest, some finger foods to share and a Christmas reading of their own work or by a favorite author. The club will provide drinks, paper goods, and a platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
Under New Business, as a memorial to recently-deceased member Troy Rushing, the membership voted to purchase a copy of Troy’s book, Hubcap Biscuits and Corncob Wars, to be donated to the Montclair Park Retirement Center, and also to contribute $20 to each of the charities suggested by the Rushing family – the American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
