September 27th Meeting

After spending ten minutes working on flash writing topics, some members and guests shared their writing with the group. Below, left, MARIE BRASS reads while her daughter BONNIE MC EWAN listens.

Several members were able to take home one of the new Marking a Mark ballpoints for having submitted work to some market since the last club meeting.

Announcements included details about the club Christmas party, to be held Saturday, December 13, in the community room of the library, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The club will furnish drinks, paper goods and a meat and cheese platter. Members should bring a guest, a snack to share and a Christmas reading -- their own work or that of a favorite author.

Proposed new bylaws were distributed for members to examine. A vote of whether to adopt the new bylaws will be taken at the October meeting.

Speaker for the October meeting will be TROY RUSHING, on the topic of self-publishing.
